Ramon Allones, a native of Galicia, is one of the great names in the history of the Cuban tobacco industry. The brand was founded in 1837. It is one of the oldest of the well-known Habanos brands still produced today.
Today it is manufactured in the Fabrica of Partagas. Ramon Allones was the first cigar maker to pack his cigars in boxes with colourful labels decorated with gold embossing. He was also the one who introduced packaging methods 8-9-8, which are still used today.
All cigars are made from tobacco blends from the Vuelta Abajo region. Characteristic is their intense and complex taste. Floral notes as well as aromas of exotic nuts, spices and honey sweetness blend in perfect harmony and balance against a background of roasted tobacco.
The range includes 'totalmente a mano, tripa larga' cigars - completely handmade long fillers, as well as 'mecanizado' - machine-made cigars.
