History of the brand
El Rey del Mundo

The trademark El Rey del Mundo is probably an invention of a German named Emilio Ohmstedt, who registered it in 1848. After his death, the trademark was transferred to the Spaniard Antonio Allones around 1870. In 1882, after 30 years of manufacturing cigars in the Antonio Allones factory, the decision was made to launch a new brand of first-class quality and price. With great confidence and little humility, it was called 'El Rey del Mundo' - The King of the World - and a complete success. This success lives on to this day in a selected Habanos range, famous for its light to medium flavour and consistency.

Character of El Rey del Mundo cigar

This is one of the few brands with a unique, unmistakable aroma, difficult to describe but easy to recognise. Sweet, "juicy", a lot of toasted notes like cocoa, coffee and vanilla combined in wonderful finesse.

All formats are made from tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region using the 'totalmente a mano, tripa larga' method - completely handmade long fillers.
