History of the brand
Quintero

The Quintero is one of the few Habanos brands that did not originate in Cuba's capital Havana. Its founder Agustín Quintero and his brother once built a factory in Cienfuegos, a town on the south coast known as the "Pearl of the South". But then, as now, all the tobaccos selected for Quintero came from the Vuelta Abajo region, the home of tobacco, one of the best in the world.

Character of the Quintero cigar

Quinteros have a characteristic, rough and quite strong tobacco taste, the earthy note is even more pronounced than e.g. in Bolivar or Partagas. In addition, they have a strong grassy tone not found in Bolivar and Partagas - this smoking sensation makes the Quintero unique.

Not all formats are 'totalmente a mano, tripa corta' - completely handmade short fillers - the brevas and panatelas are machine-made.
