The second line (Línea) of the Cohiba, the Línea 1492, was officially presented on 4 November 1992 in the "Museo de la Ciudad de la Habana" in Cuba. It commemorates the discovery of the cigar in Cuba by Columbus 500 years ago. After it was presented to the public again in London one year later, it was available from spring 1994. The formats bear the designation "Siglo" (century) - one for every century since the discovery of America - and the cigar.
The Linea 1492 is milder than the Classica line; all formats taste quite similar. The predominant impression is composed of mild, creamy sweetness, medium toasted tones and the typical fine "grassy" Cohiba note, underlaid with slightly floral, herbal notes. The tobacco taste is medium strong, all formats are very well balanced.
